Sasha has been a pivotal figure in the field of educational preparation and leadership since 2001. With a distinguished career that spans over two decades, Sasha began her journey with the National Institute of Education in 2007. Her exceptional contributions quickly led to her appointment as the NIE's UMAT Preparation Program Coordinator in 2009. One of her early landmark achievements was the introduction of the Simulated UMAT (now UCAT) Day, an initiative that has since seen thousands of students better prepared for university clinical aptitude tests.
Sasha’s academic foundation is as impressive as her professional accomplishments. She holds an Advanced Science degree with Distinction from the University of Sydney, where she majored in Immunology, Virology, and Heart Physiology. Her academic excellence was further recognized with her induction into the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2005. In 2010, Sasha completed her Master's of Secondary Education at Western Sydney University with High Distinction, specialising in science and mathematics, further solidifying her expertise in educational development.
Her experience is not confined to one sector; Sasha has served in various managerial roles across different business sectors and has an extensive background in leadership and youth training programs. Her early career included a crucial role as the Tuberculosis Laboratory Officer for the Sydney South West Area Health Service, where she applied her scientific expertise in a healthcare setting.
Since 2007, Sasha has been deeply involved in medical degree admission support services. She has run numerous seminars, webinars, and lectures, and has been instrumental in writing and editing course materials for GAMSAT, UMAT, HPAT, and ISAT preparation courses. Her work in this field has made her a trusted figure among high school career and pathways advisors, particularly in the Sydney basin.
As the Managing Director of the National Institute of Education, Sasha continues to lead with a vision that blends academic rigor with practical preparation, ensuring that students are not only ready for tests but are also equipped for their future careers.
