Pathway - graduate entry Doctor of Medicine
- To progress into the graduate entry Doctor of Medicine offered by the University of Melbourne in Shepparton you'll need a WAM of 70 and be committed to living in a regional area.

ATAR: Makes up 30% of the total admission score for the medical pathway degree.
Medicine: Based on 2023 selection records the lowest selection ranks were: 
- 91.1 for Albury / Wodonga campus
- 93.95 for Bendigo campus

Dentistry:
- 99.05 - 2022 lowest selection rank (including adjustment factors)

Subject prerequisites:
Medicine
VCE: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
HSC: One of English Standard, English Advanced (Band 3), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 4).

Dentistry
VCE: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Chemistry.
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Biology.

UCAT:
Not required for the medicine pathway.
Not required for Dentistry as of 2024.

Interview: For medicine makes up 70% of the total admission score of medicine.
La Trobe uses the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) for the selection of students. The MMI will consists of situational questions focusing on: advocacy, collaboration, critical thinking, empathy, ethical reasoning, motivation, and regional identification. The applicant must demonstrate adequate communication skills at the MMI.

Not required for dentistry.

La Trobe University medicine interview dates:

Usually applicants invited to attend the MMI would receive an email in December detailing the interview process and are required to attend interviews in early January.
However, detailed information about 2024/25 interviews dates have not been released as of yet (June 2024).
