This session is tailored to students who have little or no background knowledge in rural and
Indigenous health. For those who want to know more about rural medicine, and need to learn more about Indigenous culture and traditions and how this impacts healthcare. This series will cover topics of rural, remote and regional healthcare, indigenous health and tropical health in detail.
Your tutor are highly skilled and trained in the above-mentioned areas and has first-hand experience in these areas.
Rural health and Indigenous health are topics that almost all universities are covering in their interviews now, hence why it is so important to know and understand these topics.
The mode of training is live interactive via Zoom. A thorough 1.5-hour teaching session focused on the key concepts involved with rural and Indigenous health. Tailored for students with little to no knowledge of these topics. This session will provide students with a deep understanding of the unique health challenges and disparities faced by rural and Indigenous populations. Followed by 1.5 hours dedicated to practising and honing students' interviewing skills through targeted questions that reinforce what students have learnt.
